Management TeamOur business is about relationships, and we have a strong management team in place that understands this. They are committed to furthering the development of our financial representatives through training and guidance, so the representatives can establish enduring and solid relationships with their clients. Meet the Russo Financial Group Management Team: Robert RaboldChief Operating Officer Bob Rabold was born and bred in Queens, NY. He graduated with a degree in Statistics from Baruch College in 1981 and immediately began his career in Financial Services. Bob has been an associate with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network since 1990, and received his Fellow Life Management Institute (FLMI) certificate in 1997. In 1993 he married his wife Anna. They currently reside in Queens with their 2 children, Billy and Christina. For the past 8 years Bob has served as the Executive Director of his children’s PTA where he has raised closed to $1 Million for enrichment programs and various other campaigns for education. Matthew PuckerDirector of Recruiting and Development
In 2006, Matthew collaborated with the managing partners of the New York City network offices to build a training and education department that leveraged the resources, specialists and leadership of both Manhattan network offices, providing financial representative training curricula, sales coaching, and product and investment specialist training. In 2009, Matthew took over leadership of the Recruiting Department, Selection Process, as well as the college financial representative Internship Program for The Russo Financial Group.  Christopher MarshallRecruiting Field Director Chris Marshall is originally from Bergen County New Jersey. He started his career at Northwestern Mutual as an Intern in 2004. He worked while attending Fordham University where he graduated from the Business school with a major in Finance. He then transitioned from our Internship program to a Financial Representative in August 2004. Chris has been with the organization since then and has grown from a College Unit Director to a Recruiting Field Director. In 2008 he ended the year as number the #1 Financial Representative in the Eastern Region and is also ranked Top 10 in the country. He currently resides in Manhattan.  Kevin Stein, CLU®, ChFC®, CFP®Recruiting Field Director Kevin Stein, originally from Binghamton, New York, joined the Russo Financial Group in May of 2009, after building a successful practice in Binghamton. Kevin has a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Binghamton University, and began his practice in 2002. He has served as a Mentor, a College Unit Director, and a Field Director, and has introduced 7 full-time Financial Representatives and over 20 interns to the career.
He has earned his CLU, ChFC, and CFP designations, and has qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table in 2006-2007 and 2009.  Benjamin DengRecruiting Field Director Benjamin joined Northwestern Mutual as a Financial Representative in 2006. In his first year he led his class as Rookie of The Year, 2nd place in Eastern Region, and ranked 3rd place in the company. He also won the Summer Smash Contests in both 2007 and 2009. In early 2009 he was invited to join the management team as Unit Director, and in August 2009 he was promoted to the position of Recruiting Field Director leading and managing a productive team.
Prior to Northwestern Mutual Benjamin was a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch’s Global Private Client Group managing a sizable investment portfolio. Benjamin specializes in assisting selective groups of successful business owners and wealthy individuals and families on comprehensive financial security strategies. These include risk hedging, insurance portfolio design, income protection, strategic asset allocation, and estate analysis.
 Walter G. CasagrandeFinancial Representative Walter joined Northwestern Mutual in 2005 after working at the Hassan Group in Philadelphia, PA during his last years of college at Drexel University. In his years with the agency he has served as a Mentor, College Unit Director, Head of the College Program, Unit Director, and finally a Recruiting Field Director in 2009. He was the office’s second ever Pacesetter First 40, and was the Rookie of the Year for his first year with the Russo Financial Group.
Walter resides in Manhattan and enjoys making the most of all that the city has to offer.  Daniel ScharffFinancial Representative Dan Scharff, originally from St. Louis, Missouri, joined Northwestern Mutual in 2002. He graduated with honors from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business in 2001, with a major in Finance. Since joining the firm he has served as a Mentor, and is currently a Field Director where he manages a team of Financial Representatives. Dan is a registered Investment Advisor and has qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table for seven straight years.  Joseph RodriguezFinancial Representative Joe joined Northwestern Mutual in 2005 after completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics at the University of Rochester. In the years he has been with Northwestern, he has served as a Mentor, College Unit Director, and Field Director for the Russo Financial Group. He has consistently been a Top 10 Producer among those in his recruitment class both in the eastern region and companywide. In 2007, Joe was the number two producer in the east coast among those in his class. Also, in 2009 Joe was recognized as the number 3 College Unit Director in the company.
Joe comes from a small family. His mother Maria and his sister Janelle both reside in upstate New York where he grew up. An athlete growing up, he continues to be active in a variety of sports including soccer and tennis.
Always a fan of friendly competition among his fellow financial representatives, Joe uses his competitive nature to motivate growth in his practice as a producer and leader.
Allison SirrAssistant Director of Development
Allison Sirr joined Northwestern Mutual in 2007 as a Director of Selection. She has since moved into a development role as the Assistant Director of Development, where her mission is the growth of the Network Office and it’s representatives. Her main focuses involve one-on-one coaching of new representatives, involvement with the training program, and implementing and overseeing the leadership development program. Allison graduated from York College of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science in 2001. She is originally from New Jersey and currently resides in Manhattan. |
